Established in 1938, the College of Nursing offers high quality student-centered undergraduate education and graduate programs at both the Masters and PhD levels including the primary health care nurse practitioner option. The College of Nursing is proud to have one of the largest Aboriginal nursing enrollments in Canada.
To meet the dynamic and exciting growth of our nursing programs, tenure-track (research, professional practice or academic programming) and limited-term faculty positions are available at our Saskatoon, Regina, and Prince Albert campuses. We are seeking professional, innovative, and team-oriented faculty to join our community of scholars to push the boundaries of nursing knowledge and education. We have a vibrant, supportive research community.
Candidates are currently sought for tenure-track faculty positions with a focus on research or academic programming. Research focus candidates should have doctoral preparation, or near completion (PhD or equivalent), and have an identified program of research/scholarship. Tenure-track positions are available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor.
A select number of Academic Programming (AP) appointments are now available. The primary responsibility of academic programming appointments is that of teaching, however, faculty in these positions will also have the responsibility of professional practice and scholarship associated with teaching and learning and administration. AP candidates should have a minimum Master’s preparation and experience teaching in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program. AP appointments are available at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Candidates for limited-term Lecturer positions will have a minimum of a Master’s preparation. We particularly encourage applications from nurse practitioners for either tenure-track or limited-term positions, with credentials as noted above.
All candidates should have at least one degree in nursing and be eligible for RN or RN(NP) registration in Saskatchewan.
Typically start dates are July 1 with the selection process occurring in the winter term. Applications will continue to be accepted until the positions are filled. Applications should be submitted electronically. Please send a letter of introduction, curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of three referees willing to provide a letter of reference.
