Senior Leadership Position
The College of Dentistry is embarking on a process to enhance its research and knowledge translation intensity and is seeking applications for an Associate Dean, Research. The Associate Dean, Research will develop the College’s strategic research vision, lead by example, mentor faculty and students, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and advocate for inter-professional health science research and scholarly activity within the College.
Candidates for the Associate Dean, Research will possess superior knowledge of oral health research environments at the national and international levels. She/he will have proven experience in organizational and team-based leadership, research innovation and success in acquiring external research funding. The successful candidate will be appointed to a renewable five-year position at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor. Candidates must have a DMD/DDS and/or a PhD or equivalent with proven success and reputation at the national and international levels within their research domain. DMD/DDS candidates appointed in a clinical discipline must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CDSS) and are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Saskatchewan licensing requirements: http://www.saskdentists.com/saskatchewan-licensing-requirements.html. Candidates who are graduates from non-accredited dental training programs must achieve National Dental Examining Board of Canada certification (http://www.ndeb.ca/).
