The University of Saskatchewan values diversity, and Aboriginal engagement is a strategic priority.

We are looking for a dean who can provide leadership across traditional boundaries.

The College of Graduate Studies and Research (CGSR) plays a unique role at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S), in that it supports graduate and post-doctoral students across campus who study within a number of colleges, schools and disciplines. From recruitment to application, and from student to graduate, CGSR builds the partnerships and relationships necessary to administer university-wide scholarship and review programs, all aimed at keeping the quality of programming high, and building the best possible student experience.

Our successful candidate will report to the provost and vice-president academic and will join a strong leadership team at the U of S. She or he will have proven proficiency building collaboration with colleagues at all levels and inspiring a commitment to shared goals, along with an accomplished research and teaching record, and experience with managing finances.

The graduate and post-doctoral student population continues to grow, and students from around the world come to the U of S to further their education. Our next dean will foster an environment that actively encourages different perspectives to work together in the pursuit of discovery. We are committed to diversity with a strategic focus on Aboriginal engagement, including increasing the number of Aboriginal students who move on to graduate studies.

We believe in the power of research and education, and the potential our graduate and post-doctoral students have to make a tangible difference at home and around the world. We want a dean who is motivated by that possibility and who excels at inspiring others to continue pursuing a better tomorrow.
