Manager- Finance and Administration
THE POSITION: Reporting to the President/CEO, the Manager – Finance and Administration is responsible for all financial and management information systems including supervision of the front office staff and related services which includes administrative support to the Board of Directors. This position contributes to our long range planning activities and the development of cost control and internal control procedures. Specific duties include preparation of monthly financial reports, cash flow projections and budget. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
THE CANDIDATE: This opportunity will be of interest to individuals with a professional accounting designation, 2 to 5 years of related experience in a corporate environment and an interest in becoming part of a dynamic, team orientated organization. Strong interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills are essential as well as a working knowledge of AccPac, MS Word and Excel. A valid driver’s licence and use of a vehicle are required.
THE COMPANY: Prairie Swine Centre Inc. is a non-profit corporation located 10 km east of Saskatoon on Highway 16. With an annual budget of more than $3 million, it is one of North America’s leading pork production research institutes, providing new knowledge to our pork industry on subjects related to nutrition, engineering and animal behaviors. The Company operates an internationally recognized technology transfer program, ensuring that the new information generated by our research activities is rapidly and effectively communicated to the pig industry for adoption. The Centre employs 40 full and part-time staff and students and is affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan.
