Status: Term, one year with possibility of extension.

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine (2012-2013): The Department of Medical Imaging of the College of Medicine of the University of Saskatchewan is seeking applications for a post-doctoral research fellow position in the area of mathematical modeling of nuclear medicine plasma sample data and pharmacokinetics, to further development of the Tikhonov gamma variate model (Tk-GV).

Duties: The successful applicant will be generating physically correct mathematical models of plasma clearance from clinical data. This individual will refine a user interface for the nuclear medicine clinical setting, process research data and will expand the clinical applications of the Tk-GV pharmacokinetic model so as to generalize the model for broader drug classes, routes of administration and dosage regimes.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in one of the following areas: pharmacokinetics, physics, computer science, or applied mathematics.

Preferred Experience: Experience with manuscript and grant application preparation, teaching and supervising highly qualified students, and a demonstrated ability to work with other investigators, support personnel, and students in a collaborative research environment. Computer programming is strongly preferred including Mathematica, SPSS, Microsoft Excel, Analyse-it, and others as needed.

Conditions: The position is for one year with possibility of a second year of renewal, pending successful review. The suggested salary is $40,000-$45,000 CDN, depending on expertise with conference support provided.
