M.Sc. or Ph.D. position  in Dr. Ekaterina Dadachova’s laboratory, University of Saskatchewan

Department:  College of Pharmacy and Nutrition

Salary Information: MSc: $20,000/annum minimum; PhD: $25,000/annum minimum

Project: The project on interaction of eukaryotic cells with ionizing radiation is funded by the United States Department of Defense and involves investigation of the interaction between eukaryotic (fungal) cells with various types of ionizing radiation with the purposes of developing novel radioprotective compounds for soldiers on the battlefield and cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Qualifications: MSc applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably with independent research experience.  PhD applicants should have (or expect to complete) an MSc degree and should have publications in PubMed-listed journals.  Applicants will be expected to apply for scholarship funding support if selected for the position.

GPA: 85% for Canadian applicants, 3.7 and above for US applicants
